The artistic assets of UniCredit consolidate those of the Italian banks belonging to the Group, expressing the excellence of a collecting tradition whose aim is the fostering of local artistic phenomena and the validation of particular epochs and aesthetic currents. The collection, which ranges from the early 15th century to the present day, features concentrations of works from significant periods in the history of Italian art, such as the 17th century in Emilia and the Veneto, conceptual art and Abstract Expressionism. After the recent merger with the German HVB Group, UniCredit's overall artistic holdings have taken on an international scope, with works representing a broad chronological and stylistic gamma, from great past masters like Rubens to the early avantgarde, from modern giants like Leger, Klein, Beuys and Cragg to the emerging talents of the various countries where the new Group is present.
